New Chief Compliance Officer for Tufts University

Senior Vice President for University Relations and General Counsel Mary Jeka is pleased to announce the appointment of Terra DuBois as Chief Compliance Officer for Tufts University. Terra arrives at Tufts on March 4, 2024. She was previously the Chief Compliance, Ethics, and Privacy Officer at the University of Florida. Prior to that role, she served as the Research Integrity Officer at the University of Florida. 

The newly created position of Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for managing the university’s existing compliance function. Terra will work collaboratively with other established compliance functions throughout Tufts and will provide leadership in managing complex compliance obligations. She will be responsible for establishing policies, standards, and procedures to ensure that our compliance programs encourage a culture of ethics, integrity, and appropriate accountability and transparency.  She also will support compliance risk owners in effectively and efficiently identifying and addressing noncompliance with applicable rules and regulations. Terra will be responsible for monitoring and reporting results of the university’s compliance efforts and providing updates to university leadership on matters relating to regulatory compliance.
