MFA University Admission Information
Members of the Tufts community,
Tufts University has a membership with the Museum of Fine Arts that allows faculty, staff, and students to receive free admission. In light of COVID-19 restrictions, the MFA will now be open with timed ticket reservations. Due to new guidelines, there will be no on-site or same-day ticket sales, so please reserve all tickets in advance. Tufts students, faculty, and staff can reserve one free admission ticket using the unique online promo code: UM-1644569. SMFA students, faculty, and staff may do the same using this unique online promo code: UM-1474944.
All students, faculty, and staff will still need to provide a Tufts ID upon arrival, and there may be an additional $5 charge for any special exhibits. Please see additional details from the MFA below.

Important Information
Timed tickets are required for all visitors, including University Members. Tickets can be reserved in advance online. Please note there will be no on-site or same-day ticket sales. The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston will be open five days a week: Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. We will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Students, faculty, and staff can reserve one free admission ticket in advance of their visit by using the promo code provided by your university contact. Tickets for additional guests may be purchased online by visiting mfa.org/tickets.
Reserving a Ticket
To reserve tickets online, visit mfa.org/tickets and select the date and time slot. On the top right corner of the page enter the promo code to access your one free ticket. Students, faculty, and staff will need to present a valid university ID and admission ticket(s) on the date of their visit (digital is preferred).
Restrictions
While general admission will continue to be free for all university members, there will be a $5 additional surcharge for special temporary exhibitions, including “Writing the Future” and “Monet and Boston.” University members will be able to access tickets at this special rate with the same promo code used for their general admission. Please note, at this time we will not be able to accommodate any group visits.
The McLane Family New Hampshire Student Membership Program allows New Hampshire students of all ages in public and private school, as well as those who are home schooled, to visit the Museum free of charge.
