TO: Faculty and Staff, All campuses

The work study program for the 2019-2020 school year begins the week of September 1, 2019. All student workers who are coded as Job Code 9000/Earnings Code 021 will automatically be paid using work study funding for hours beginning the week of September 1 as long as they were awarded work study for the 2019-2020 school year through financial aid. Most general work study questions are answered on our TSS or Student Employment websites.

Current minimum wage in Massachusetts is $12/hour. This rate will increase to $12.75 on January 1, 2020, and TSS will automatically update all pay rates at this time. Please keep this wage change in mind when creating your budgets for the 2019-2020 school year and setting your students' hours. You can find the student pay scale on the Student Employment website.

Please post any open on-campus student positions on Handshake. Email for a sign up link if you do not have an account yet. If you made an account on Handshake without the link and need to be approved, please email

If you would like to post a personal babysitting/childcare position for your own children, you can do so on the Childcare Employer page.
