Tufts Technology Services recently implemented a number of new features for three of our key collaboration tools: WebEx, Jabber and Box.

Some of the new features include:

  • A new WebEx Meetings Desktop app (and mobile app option) to make it easy to start and join meetings with one click.
  • A new Jabber Mobile Persistent Chat function that allows you to engage with multiple chat users and keep the conversation going.
  • Box Drive for your Desktop functionality that enhances the way you access your online files locally on your desktop while linking your local machine with Box for real-time updating to and from the cloud (online storage).

TuftsAlert system

In a significant emergency the university will attempt to communicate with the community through a variety of methods. Use of the latest available technology provides us with several ways to reach community members through public postings, information hotlines, and an emergency alert system integrating telephone, text messaging and email.
