TO: Faculty and Staff, All campuses
FROM: University Communications and Marketing
University Communications and Marketing is pleased to announce the launch of Tell Me More, a new podcast series that will showcase distinguished visitors to campus—from guest speakers to visiting faculty members to artists whose work is displayed here.
The initial episodes feature interviews with Texas Congressman Joaquín Castro, author Morgan Jerkins, physician-scientist-entrepreneur Daniel Kraft, visual artist Angela Lorenz, former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, and former Congressman Steve Israel and filmmaker Sarah Ullman, A10. Tell Me More is available on iTunes and SoundCloud, among other podcast platforms.
Visit the Tell Me More webpage to learn more about the series—and be sure to subscribe, download, and listen on your own. If you like something you hear, please be sure to rate it and share it with your family and friends.
We also have a second series in production—to be named—which will launch later this fall and will feature topic-based conversations with panels of experts drawn exclusively from the university faculty. We’re looking for people who can communicate their expertise in a way that is clear to a lay audience and whose research or scholarship can be made relevant to a non-academic audience. Whenever possible, we will try to sync the content up with something timely.
If you have recommendations of faculty members who do a wonderful job of describing their work in a way that is accessible, engaging, and relevant to a lay audience, or if you have thoughts about people whom we should consider for Tell Me More, we would welcome your suggestions.
Thank you for listening!
