The Grafton campus transition to mixed recycling is now complete.  All waste stations across campus should include two bin options: “Landfill” and “Mixed Recycling.” If your waste station does not have both bin options, please submit a work order.

Please do not move the Landfill or Mixed Recycling bins, as both bins should be located next to each other. Research shows that this will help reduce contamination. 

All previously accepted materials (paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, and metal) should be placed together in the blue or gray mixed recycling bins with blue labels and blue UFO-shaped lids. Food, soft paper (e.g. tissues, paper towels), and flexible plastic (e.g. plastic bags, saran wrap, grocery bags) must be placed in the “Landfill” bin. For more information, see this comprehensive list of items that can be recycled on the Grafton campus.

We need your help to keep our recycling clean. Before placing items in the “mixed recycling” bin:

  • Dump out liquids
  • Rinse or wipe out messy food containers
