In August, Tufts’ contract with LinkedIn Learning is set to expire. As part of the renewal process, we evaluated our usage and compared alternative products that might meet our needs. Our research brought to light a subscription service—Udemy for Business—that has access to similar content as LinkedIn Learning while also offering an extensive technology course library. Based on cost differential and the positive feedback we received from our trial of Udemy in June, Tufts decided to transition from LinkedIn Learning to Udemy for Business in August at the end of our contract with LinkedIn Learning.

Since 2015, Tufts has been offering this type of online learning platform for faculty, staff, and students to learn at their own pace. Starting with Lynda.com, which then became LinkedIn Learning, and now we will continue this offering with Udemy for Business.

If you are a current LinkedIn Learning user, you can learn more about preparing for the transition on AccessTufts.

Once Udemy becomes available to the community, more information will be shared on how to access the service.
