Faculty and Staff, All Campuses

The Working Group on TUPD Arming (WGTA) has been formed in response to the recommendations of the Campus Safety and Policing Working Group as part of the Tufts as an Anti-Racist Institution strategic initiative.

The WGTA seeks to determine if Tufts' current model of armed police officers is the best choice for ensuring the safety and well-being of all members of our community.

Your feedback is essential for the WGTA to fully and thoughtfully assess the arming status of the university's police officers as part of our comprehensive anti-racism initiative, and the survey below is one of the means by which the WGTA would like to gather your feedback.

Conducted by an external consultant, this survey is completely confidential. The university will receive only the final, aggregated results and your name will not be attached to your responses in any way. These results will be used in coordination with other information collected through forums convened and focus groups conducted this fall.

Please share your perspectives by taking the survey found at this link. The deadline for submitting the survey is Friday, September 24, 2021, and it should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

If you have any questions about this survey or how the responses will be used, please contact Public_Safety_Arming_Study@tufts.edu

Thank you for your sharing your perspectives on this critically important issue.
