TO: Faculty and Staff, All campuses

The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce the 2017 recipients of seed grants through the Tufts Innovates and Tufts Collaborates programs. Tufts Innovates seeks to spark imaginative ideas to enhance learning and teaching, including interdisciplinary approaches that integrate research. Tufts Collaborates seeks to encourage the essential first steps in interdisciplinary collaboration by supporting new faculty pilot projects that engage at least two disciplines and cross institutional lines. These newly-funded projects will begin in July and continue through the 2017 - 2018 academic year.

We thank the faculty and administrative staff who acted as peer reviewers, as well as the many faculty and staff who submitted excellent proposals, not only making this year's decisions particularly difficult, but also indicating the widespread commitment to enhancing teaching and learning and collaborative research at Tufts.
