Body:
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Cataldo as the Vice President for Human Resources effective July 1, 2013. Many of you know Linda from her previous position at Tufts as Director of Human Resources for the Health Sciences campuses from 2002 through 2005, as well as her work on the Excellence @ Work Survey, and her collaboration with numerous action planning committees.

Linda has over 17 years of experience as a human resources professional and received a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. Most recently Linda served as Principal for LEC Human Resource and Organization Development Consulting where she focused on partnering with organizations to assess and develop strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness and culture through human capital management. From 2005 through 2009, Linda held the position of Director of Human Resources at WGBH Educational Foundation where she managed the alignment of human resource strategies and tactics, enabled greater operational efficiency, and improved client service levels.

As we seek to align our initiatives with an administrative structure that best serves the current needs of faculty, students and staff, I am confident that our community will find Linda a willing and talented partner.

Please join me in welcoming Linda. I know that she will be able to count on your support and enthusiasm in the years ahead.
