- All three campuses will be open for normal operations on Monday, February 11.Monday’s forecast calls for rain and snow showers in the morning changing to all rain in the afternoon and temperatures in the mid-40s. Conditions may be slippery, so please use caution when walking or traveling outside. Please take particular care crossing intersections, where piles of snow are limiting visibility.We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and patience during this time. Special thanks go to all the personnel in Boston, Medford/Somerville and Grafton who have been working around the clock to provide critical services and keep our campuses as safe and secure as possible.University personnel will continue their efforts throughout the week to remove snow from sidewalks and entrances to buildings. Please avoid areas being cleared so that these efforts can proceed safely and efficiently.In Boston, the city's Snow Emergency Parking Ban has been extended until after the morning commute on Monday.On the Grafton campus, the Webster Family Library will reopen for students tonight at 5:30 pm.Please note availability of the following services on the Medford/Somerville campus:Dining Services:Both Carmichael and Dewick will be open until 9:00 pm on Sunday. All other locations will be CLOSED. Dining Services is planning on resuming regular hours in all locations on Monday. For the latest updates on dining services, visit http://dining.tufts.edu or follow @TuftsDining.Parking & Transportation:Somerville’s municipal parking ban will remain in effect until Monday, February 11th at 6:00 pm. The campus Snow Emergency Parking Ban has been extended until Monday morning at 8:00 am. This ban will prohibit parking on all university roadways as well as staff/faculty parking lots. On the Medford/Somerville campus, students with a current green Resident or red Commuter decal are encouraged to park in the Lower Campus Garage or the Dowling Garage (if you don't have a garage card your Tufts ID will work for this weekend only). Note that students parked in the Dowling Garage will need to move their vehicles to other student parking by 8:00 am Monday to allow staff to park in the garage.MBTA service partially resumed at 2:00 pm today, and is expected to resume normal service Monday morning. The campus shuttles are expected to resume tomorrow. Please allow extra time for your commute, whether you are driving or using public transit.Other Services:Tisch Library, Mayer Campus Center, and the Tisch Sports and Fitness Center are now open to provide study space and recreation for students.For a police, fire or medical emergency dial 617-627-6911.This will be our last communication regarding University status this weekend.
