In order to foster ongoing collaboration and innovation in scholarship and teaching, the Office of the Provost sponsors two seed grant programs, Tufts Collaborates! and Tufts Innovates! Through these programs, the university is funding over 25 seed grants during the 2012 - 2013 academic year for activities that break new ground.
The Office of the Provost is now pleased to announce the request for applications for competitive seed grants for activities during the 2013 - 2014 academic year through Tufts Collaborates! and Tufts Innovates!
Goals of the seed grant programs are to:
- Ignite research collaboration among faculty members across disciplines; and
- Catalyze innovative ideas for learning and teaching.
Seed grant awards are expected to range from $500 to $50,000. A peer-review process will evaluate each proposal for its specific merit, potential for impact, and the degree to which the proposal adheres to the goals of the seed grant programs.
Tufts Collaborates! interdisciplinary scholarship and research: Grants will be overseen by the Office of the Vice Provost of Research. Inquiries may be directed to Dr. Kirby Johnson, Director for Program Development, at collaborates@tufts.edu.
