- Normal activities are expected to resume Tuesday, October 30, on the Medford/Somerville campus. In making the decision to be open, we have taken into account the National Weather Forecast which predicts that winds will abate and conditions will be safe for normal activity to resume.If we receive reports that conditions are expected to change, we will revise our plans as appropriate and keep you informed. Check www.tufts.edu or 617-627-INFO in the morning in case conditions change.Students residing in houses on the Medford/Somerville campus without power have been relocated and all dining centers are open to students.We are evaluating the situation on the Boston and Grafton campuses and will provide further updates.We very much appreciate everyone's cooperation during the storm.

In an emergency the university will attempt to communicate with the community through a variety of methods. Use of the latest available technology provides us with several ways to reach community members through public postings, information hotlines, and an Emergency Alert System integrating telephone, text messaging and email.
